Jane, Kystal, and I went into South Bank to satisfy our sweet tooth. We stopped at Max Brenner Chocolate Bar. It was a beautiful cafe that was lined in the most scrumptious chocolate treats. Continue reading

Griffith University
Griffith is apparently a really well known school around the world. When I told Jane and one other Chinese student that I would be studying Hospitality they told me that it is famous for this course. Many students in China come here specifically for it. Griffith itself is one of the top five universities in Australia and is linked to the group of school that includes Harvard University in the USA. Continue reading
Welcome to your temporary home
I have been in Brisbane for three days now and I am finally settled in. I lucked out and got placed in my permanent room. After three days of shopping, obviously it was the worst three days of my life (kidding), I have my room all put together. Continue reading
Surfing Bondi Beach
For the last two weeks that I was in Sydney, Brett and I had been keeping our eye on costalwatch.com.au for the latest updates on what the surf would be like. Brett had told me that he would teach me to surf, but only in the right conditions. Many people fail to learn how to surf or even get up on one wave due to the surf its self. Apparently there is a lot to look for when you want to surf. Silly me, I thought you just paddle out, catch a wave, and stand up… Not exactly… On our last day the waves were finally small enough after the large storm for me to even attempt to surf. It still wasn’t perfect but with only one day left I had to give it a shot. I never knew how much waiting around surfing entailed. It is not a fast pace sport. You can spend an hour waiting for the right wave to catch. Thank goodness Brett was there to give me a push on the perfect waves. These pictures are the pictures April got.

Manly Beach
Manly is beautiful, but you have probably already heard that. In Sydney, Manly is a common conversation piece. The tide was so high today that it had covered almost all of the sand on the beach. I’ve been over to Manly a few times but today I decided to take a walk around the city. There are many little shops and a board walk that goes over to Shelly Beach. Shelly Beach is a beautiful, less crowded, gem.

Popcorn Monster
April and I went to see a movie for a girls day. On the way home we picked up the boys. This is how I caught Henry trying to eat the rest of my popcorn. Being the great big brother that he is, Niall decided to help Henry out! What are brothers for?

Shark Sighting at Manly Beach
We spent the day at Manly Beach. The other day at Belmoral Beach, Brett had been telling me that in all of his years here in Australia he had only ever heard of a few sharks being seen in the water and was never there. Continue reading
Balmoral Beach with the boys
Balmoral Beach was absolutely beautiful. On a normal day the water is as clear as glass. The boys love the little tide pools and jumping off the rocks. They have no fear what so ever. Continue reading
